An award-winning international law firm is seeking a Catastrophic Injury Associate to join their highly regarded defendant litigation team in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex and high-profile catastrophic injury claims, with a particular focus on police law matters, acting on behalf of police forces, public authorities and leading insurer clients.

The Opportunity

You will handle a varied caseload of catastrophic injury claims arising from police law matters, including cases involving serious injury, assault, false imprisonment, human rights, data protection and Equality Act claims. Working alongside recognised experts in defendant litigation, you will manage your own files while assisting on complex, sensitive and high-value matters, including group litigation and cases of significant public interest. This role offers exposure to exceptional quality work, direct client contact and outstanding opportunities for career progression within a nationally recognised team.

About You

You will be a qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer with experience handling defendant catastrophic injury, large loss or complex EL/PL litigation. Experience in police law or public authority litigation would be advantageous but is not essential. You will have strong technical ability, excellent communication skills and the confidence to manage a varied caseload while working collaboratively on high-value claims.
