An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced and confident Contentious Probate Solicitor to join a highly respected firm specialising exclusively in disputes concerning wills, estates, and trusts. This position is ideal for a solicitor seeking to work on complex, high-value matters within a progressive, flexible working environment.

You will become part of a national team of Contentious Probate specialists, managing a varied caseload that includes will disputes, Inheritance Act claims, and trust litigation. With a steady flow of quality instructions, the role requires someone capable of working independently and contributing immediate value to the department.

This is not suited to someone with only limited exposure to Contentious Probate—you must have been immersed in this area for at least three years, with a proven ability to handle matters independently from instruction to resolution.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE
  • Substantial and demonstrable experience in Contentious Probate law
  • Confident in managing claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975, disputes over will validity, trustee/executor issues, and contentious trust matters
  • Ability to manage a full caseload autonomously
  • Strong client care skills and excellent written and verbal communication
