A rare opportunity has arisen for a part-time or full-time Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or highly experienced Conveyancer who wishes to step away from managing a permanent caseload. This well-established and respected conveyancing team is seeking a committed professional to provide full-time holiday and absence cover across the department. The role is offered fully remotely.

About the Role

In this distinctive position, you will take over files during fee earners’ leave periods, ensuring continuous, seamless service for clients and stakeholders. You will handle a wide range of residential property transactions, including sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity.

You will liaise directly with clients, estate agents, lenders, and solicitors to keep transactions progressing efficiently and completed on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage residential conveyancing cases during the absence of regular fee earners
  • Review titles, contracts, search results, and other supporting documents
  • Draft and review legal documents such as contracts, transfer deeds, and mortgage paperwork
  • Communicate professionally with clients and third parties to maintain transaction progress
  • Oversee all stages of the conveyancing process, including exchange, completion, and post-completion tasks

What You’ll Need

  • Qualified as a Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or substantial experience in residential conveyancing
  • Proven ability to manage a busy residential property caseload independently
  • Strong understanding of UK conveyancing procedures and property law
  • Experience with Land Registry systems and property search platforms
  • Membership of a professional body such as the Law Society or CLC is advantageous but not essential
