Job Description
A highly respected law firm is seeking an Employment Solicitor or CILEX-qualified Lawyer to join their growing Home Legal Expenses Insurance team. This role involves providing expert legal advice on a wide range of employment matters to corporate clients, internal stakeholders, and policyholders — particularly those covered under LEI and employment-related products.
This role can be fully remote, or hybrid, but office attendance at the Liverpool office once a month is required.
The successful candidate will be comfortable managing both external employment law matters and internal employee relations issues, offering a unique blend of client-facing and strategic responsibilities within the firm.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of employment law disputes and advisory matters, including both litigated and non-litigated files.
- Advise on internal staff-related employment issues within the firm, ensuring matters are resolved efficiently and in line with best practice.
- Deliver advice via a legal helpline, providing real-time guidance on employment law issues to clients and policyholders.
- Ensure compliance with internal service level agreements, policies, and procedures.
- Review and improve internal employment policies and HR practices.
- Deliver technical supervision and support on complex employment law issues.
- Assist in implementing and adapting employment-related IT systems or legal tech solutions.
- Provide internal and external employment law training as needed across the business.
- Maintain excellent standards of client care and progress cases effectively with proactive communication.
- Identify and flag employment-related risks to senior management.
- Analyse and report on employment law data (MI), contributing to strategic decision-making.
About You
The firm are looking for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with a commercial mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment.
Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor, Member/Fellow of CILEX, or an experienced employment law specialist.
- Demonstrated experience in handling a broad range of employment law issues (advisory and contentious).
