Working alongside leading practitioners in the field, you will advise clients across a broad range of cutting-edge technologies, including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, biologics, cell and gene therapies, diagnostics and medical innovations. Key Responsibilities
  • Drafting and prosecuting UK, European and international patent applications.
  • Advising clients on patentability, freedom to operate and infringement matters.
  • Managing a diverse portfolio of biotechnology and life sciences clients.
  • Assisting with EPO opposition and appeal proceedings.
  • Working closely with overseas associates on international filing strategies.
  • Building and developing strong client relationships through direct contact.
  • Supporting business development and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.
Requirements
  • Part Qualified Patent Attorney working towards UK and European qualification.
  • Academic background in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry or a related Life Sciences discipline (PhD highly advantageous).
  • Previous experience within private practice or an in-house patent environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and an interest in developing client relationships.
  • Ability to manage a varied workload and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
