An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Board Secretary to join a growing global governance function. This role sits at the heart of board and committee operations, supporting strategic decision-making across a complex international business. It is ideally suited to a governance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys delivering high-quality board support. Whilst this role can be carried out on a remote basis, you will ideally be based in Edinburgh or Jersey.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage board and committee calendars, meetings and logistics
- Prepare agendas, board packs and high-quality minutes
- Maintain governance documents, action trackers and board portals
- Coordinate board effectiveness reviews and governance lifecycle processes
- Support directors and senior stakeholders with governance queries
- Drive continuous improvement across governance processes and reporting
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong board and committee support experience within an in-house governance or secretariat function
- CGI qualification advantageous (study support available)
- Experience within regulated financial services or listed environments preferred
- Excellent organisational, drafting and stakeholder management skills
