The firm is seeking a newly qualified or junior Patent Attorney with a specialism in semiconductors and advanced electronic technologies. You will be involved in drafting and prosecution work across global portfolios, with exposure to contentious matters such as EPO oppositions depending on experience and interest.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drafting and prosecuting patent applications in electronics and semiconductor technologies
  • Supporting global patent portfolio management for high‑tech clients
  • Assisting with EPO oppositions and appeal proceedings where applicable
  • Advising on patent strategy across R&D‑led innovation
  • Working closely with inventors and in‑house counsel teams
  • Conducting prior art searches and analysis
  • Supporting PCT and multi‑jurisdictional filings
Requirements
  • Recently qualified Patent Attorney (or close to qualification)
  • Background in electronics, physics, engineering, or related technical field
  • Exposure to semiconductors or microelectronics strongly preferred
  • Experience in drafting and prosecution at UKIPO and EPO level
  • Strong technical understanding and ability to grasp complex subject matter
  • Commercial awareness and client‑focused mindset
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
