A great opportunity for a newly qualified solicitor up to 3 years' PQE to join a leading Housing team at a Legal 100 law firm who offer flexible hybrid working available. This role offers excellent exposure to contentious housing management work, with early responsibility, strong supervision and the opportunity to develop as an advocate.

You will work closely with experienced lawyers who regularly appear in court and tribunals, deliver client training and advise on complex and sensitive cases. The role provides a strong foundation for a long-term career in housing law.

Housing is a core sector for the firm and a key area of continued growth; it operates as a national practice, advising registered providers, local authorities and other social landlords on a wide range of housing management matters. The team is known for its depth of experience, practical approach and strong understanding of the operational and regulatory pressures facing social landlords. The work is varied, high quality and often at the forefront of developments in housing law, with matters frequently engaging equality, public law and regulatory issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising social landlords on a broad range of housing management issues
  • Running possession, injunction and anti-social behaviour matters
  • Working on housing disrepair claims, including cases involving fitness for habitation and equality issues
  • Appearing as an advocate in the county court, magistrates' court and tribunals, with appropriate support
  • Drafting pleadings, notices, tenancy documentation and related correspondence
