A leading international firm with a highly regarded IP practice is seeking an experienced IP Transactions Lawyer to join their London team. The group advises on cutting-edge matters across technology, life sciences and industrial sectors, supporting clients on the protection, commercialisation and strategic use of their IP assets. With increasing investment in innovation and major cross‑sector deals, this is an excellent opportunity to be part of a growing and strategically important practice area.

About the Role

This position will see you play a key role in supporting and leading complex IP‑driven transactions. You’ll work closely with high‑profile clients on strategic technology and commercial matters while contributing to the expansion of a market‑leading team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a broad range of IP‑focused transactions, including IP‑heavy M&A and related advisory work
  • Negotiate technology, IP, licensing and separation agreements directly with clients
  • Manage a varied caseload across large‑scale and mid‑market commercial matters
  • Build long‑term client relationships as a trusted adviser
  • Work collaboratively with wider Commercial and IP Disputes teams on national and cross‑border matters
  • Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to internal knowledge sharing
  • Support business development and thought leadership initiatives

Requirements

  • Qualified lawyer with 3+ PQE and strong experience in IP transactions and advisory work
  • Background in patent, technology, life sciences or know‑how agreements
  • Confident leading matters and managing client relationships
  • Commercially minded, able to translate legal advice into strategic value
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines
