Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising on contentious matters across trade marks, designs, copyright, patents, and confidential information
  • Handling disputes relating to licensing, supply, and commercial agreements involving IP rights
  • Managing opposition, revocation, and invalidity proceedings before the UKIPO and other registries
  • Advising on related areas such as advertising clearance and ASA disputes
  • Supporting and leading on enforcement actions including injunctions, seizures, and anti-counterfeiting work
  • Engaging in business development, training, and knowledge sharing within the wider firm

Requirements:

  • 4–8 years’ PQE gained within private practice, with strong contentious IP experience
  • Solid understanding of both substantive and procedural IP law
  • Strong technical and commercial client care skills
  • Excellent written, analytical, and interpersonal communication abilities
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload, working independently and collaboratively within the team
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise under pressure
  • A proactive and confident approach to building client relationships and business development
  • Interest in further professional development (e.g. Oxford IP Diploma)
