A fantastic opportunity to join a specialist legal practice with a growing presence in Scotland. The firm’s Professional Indemnity team is recognised UK‑wide for its expertise and works with a leading portfolio of major insurers on complex, high‑value matters involving solicitors, accountants, IFAs, surveyors, architects, engineers, and construction professionals.
This role is well suited to a senior lawyer who enjoys engaging with technical issues, resolving intricate liability and coverage questions and working collaboratively with insurers and professional clients. You’ll join a well‑resourced, supportive team, supervise junior colleagues, contribute to team development, and gain exposure to substantial, high‑quality work.
Experience- 8+ years’ PQE (applications from 5+ PQE candidates with solid litigation experience welcomed)
- Experience in litigation, commercial disputes, insurance, or professional indemnity
- Confident managing complex claims from start to finish, advising on strategy and coverage
- Excellent analytical and drafting ability with attention to detail
- Skilled in building positive relationships with senior professionals, clients and insurers
- Capable of supervising, supporting and developing junior team members while handling your own caseload
- Commercially aware with an interest in contributing to business development initiatives
- Flexible working options, including full‑time or a four‑day week
- A varied, high‑value caseload with excellent work quality
