A great opportunity for an experienced Family Law Partner to head up a highly regarded family law team in Glasgow, advising parents, professionals, business owners and high net-worth clients on the full range of Scottish family law matters.

This suits a family lawyer who wants to lead and grow a practice, brings a mix of negotiation and litigation experience, and is looking for a firm known for complex, high-value work and a genuinely client-focused approach.

The role:

As Head of Family Law in Glasgow, you'll lead the team's strategic direction while managing your own caseload of complex family law matters. Day to day, this includes:

  • Advising clients on divorce, separation and financial settlements
  • Handling child arrangements, parental rights and relocation disputes
  • Advising on cohabitation claims, pre and post-nuptial agreements and civil partnership dissolution
  • Overseeing complex, high-value financial and business asset disputes
  • Resolving matters through negotiation and mediation, with strong court representation where required
  • Leading, mentoring and developing the wider family law team
  • Building and maintaining relationships with professionals, business owners and high net-worth clients

About you:

This role would suit a Family Law Partner who:

  • Has extensive experience across Scottish family law, including complex financial and child law matters
  • Has a track record of leading or mentoring a team
  • Communicates clearly, providing practical advice without unnecessary jargon
