The role:
As Head of Family Law in Glasgow, you'll lead the team's strategic direction while managing your own caseload of complex family law matters. Day to day, this includes:
- Advising clients on divorce, separation and financial settlements
- Handling child arrangements, parental rights and relocation disputes
- Advising on cohabitation claims, pre and post-nuptial agreements and civil partnership dissolution
- Overseeing complex, high-value financial and business asset disputes
- Resolving matters through negotiation and mediation, with strong court representation where required
- Leading, mentoring and developing the wider family law team
- Building and maintaining relationships with professionals, business owners and high net-worth clients
About you:
This role would suit a Family Law Partner who:
- Has extensive experience across Scottish family law, including complex financial and child law matters
- Has a track record of leading or mentoring a team
- Communicates clearly, providing practical advice without unnecessary jargon
- Is skilled in both negotiated settlements and court litigation
