Join a leading Construction Disputes team in Edinburgh or Glasgow working on some of the most complex and high-profile matters in the market. An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Contentious Construction lawyer to join a highly regarded team advising developers, contractors, consultants, funders, energy companies and public sector bodies on a wide range of construction and engineering disputes.

The successful candidate will advise on adjudications, litigation, arbitration, mediation and dispute avoidance matters arising from major construction, infrastructure and energy projects. The work includes defects claims, delay and extension of time disputes, final account disputes and project advisory matters across both the public and private sectors.

This role offers significant client exposure and the opportunity to work closely with key stakeholders while contributing to business development and the continued growth of the practice.

About You

  • Scottish-qualified Solicitor with 5+ years' PQE in contentious construction
  • Strong experience in dispute resolution and project advisory work
  • Knowledge of standard form contracts including JCT, NEC, FIDIC and SBCC
  • Commercially minded with strong client relationship skills
  • Keen to mentor junior lawyers and contribute to team development
