Working alongside leading practitioners in the field, you will advise clients across a broad range of cutting-edge technologies, including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, biologics, cell and gene therapies, diagnostics and medical innovations. Key Responsibilities- Drafting and prosecuting UK, European and international patent applications.
- Advising clients on patentability, freedom to operate and infringement matters.
- Managing a diverse portfolio of biotechnology and life sciences clients.
- Assisting with EPO opposition and appeal proceedings.
- Working closely with overseas associates on international filing strategies.
- Building and developing strong client relationships through direct contact.
- Supporting business development and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.
- Part Qualified Patent Attorney working towards UK and European qualification.
- Academic background in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry or a related Life Sciences discipline (PhD highly advantageous).
- Previous experience within private practice or an in-house patent environment.
