New opportunity for a corporate associate solicitor who has a strong interest in the energy sector and keen to get their first role focussed in this sector. The position is working at a dynamic and forward-thinking Legal 100 law firm in Bristol in a large corporate team but closely with a clean energy lawyer, supporting an impressive portfolio of clients undertaking transactional work in clean energy, infrastructure and ethical investments.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Advising on corporate M&A, joint ventures, and investments in the clean energy sector
  • Supporting transactions involving solar PV, battery storage (BESS), co-located generation and storage, wind, anaerobic digestion and micro-hydro assets
  • Working with developers, asset managers, investors and energy suppliers on UK and international energy transactions
  • Taking early ownership of matters, with guidance from an experienced and highly regarded Director
  • Building and maintaining trusted client relationships from day one

What we’re looking for:

  • A qualified Corporate Solicitor with 2–4 years’ PQE
  • A strong interest in the energy sector - prior experience is not essential but the interest must be evident
  • Experience in M&A or investment work
  • A collaborative team player eager to contribute to the continued growth of this specialist practice
