A leading claimant law firm is seeking a Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join its established and highly regarded team. The firm is known for delivering excellent client outcomes while prioritising employee wellbeing and a positive working culture.
This role offers exceptional flexibility. You can work fully remotely or on a hybrid basis from the Newcastle office, with only 1 to 2 days per month in the office if preferred. The Role
You will join a large and experienced clinical negligence team handling a varied caseload of high quality matters. The position will involve supporting senior lawyers while also managing your own cases under appropriate supervision.
You will be involved in cases from initial instruction through to resolution or trial, gaining exposure to all stages of litigation in a collaborative and well structured environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage your own caseload of clinical negligence matters
• Support senior lawyers on complex cases
• Assist with case strategy and progression
• Draft legal documents including letters of claim and instructions
• Prepare cases for settlement or litigation
• Engage with clients and provide clear, empathetic advice
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and external experts
• Support and mentor junior team members where appropriate
• Maintain accurate time recording and file management
Candidate Profile
• Qualified Solicitor or equivalent with up to 5 years PQE
• Experience handling a clinical negligence caseload
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Excellent drafting and communication ability
• Commercial awareness within a legal environment
• Confident working both independently and as part of a team
• Strong client care skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable using case management systems and Microsoft Office
