The team handles a varied mix of prosecution and contentious matters across a range of chemical subject areas. Key Responsibilities
- Drafting and prosecuting UK, European and international patent applications
- Managing a varied caseload across chemistry-related technologies
- Supporting contentious matters, including oppositions and appeals
- Assisting with multi-jurisdictional matters where required
- Working closely with colleagues to deliver commercially focused advice to clients
- Contributing to the development of client relationships
Requirements
- Part-qualified UK and/or EQE through to circa 3 years’ PQE
- Background in Chemistry or a related discipline
- Experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications
- Exposure to EPO work would be beneficial
- Strong academic background
- Commercial awareness and strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A collaborative and proactive approach
