A leading national law firm is seeking a Newly Qualified Court of Protection Solicitor (up to 2 years PQE) to join its highly regarded Health, Care and Public Law team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop specialist expertise in Court of Protection and Mental Health law, working alongside recognised experts who advise NHS Trusts, ICBs, commissioners, public bodies, and independent healthcare providers.
You will:
- Manage a varied caseload of Court of Protection and Mental Health matters with appropriate supervision.
- Advise healthcare clients on issues including mental capacity, deprivation of liberty, care arrangements, contact disputes, and medical treatment decisions.
- Work closely with senior lawyers on complex and high-profile matters.
- Build strong relationships with clients, clinicians, courts, and other stakeholders.
- Support client training, business development initiatives, and wider healthcare sector projects.
You will be a qualified Solicitor (NQ – 2 years PQE) with:
- Experience in Court of Protection and/or Mental Health law (essential).
- A strong interest in healthcare law and the health and social care sector.
- Experience gained through a training contract seat or paralegal role in this area (highly desirable).
- Strong communication, client management, and relationship-building skills.
- A practical, commercial, and collaborative approach.
