I am currently working on a genuinely different Real Estate opportunity with a leading International, Top25 Law firm. This is a newly created role within a high performing Transactional Real Estate team, designed specifically for a 4/5+ PQE lawyer who is open to stepping away from a purely generalist model and into something more client aligned and relationship focused.
The Opportunity
This position sits within a large, nationally recognised Real Estate group but is uniquely aligned to a small number of key UK clients. You will work closely with London based client partners, supporting and broadening relationships with some of the most high profile and sophisticated clients in the market. Rather than spinning multiple smaller matters across a wide client base, this role offers the chance to focus on a handful of major clients, developing genuine sector insight and becoming a trusted adviser. It is ideal for someone who wants greater client exposure and early responsibility, while still operating within a structured and supportive team.
The Role Will Involve
- Acting as a core member of key client account teams
- Advising on a broad range of commercial property work including landlord and tenant, property management, acquisitions and disposals, development and regeneration, and corporate support
- Working directly with senior London partners on strategic client relationships
- Managing matters with appropriate autonomy while maintaining exceptional client service standards
- Building long term client relationships through commercially focused, solutions driven advice
The Team
You would be joining a substantial and well regarded Real Estate group of nearly 200 lawyers nationally. The Leeds based Transactional Real Estate team is particularly strong, with over 40 fee earners and a highly respected partner group. The team is consistently recognised in the top tier of the legal directories and has won multiple regional property and legal awards in recent years. There is a strong emphasis on transactional excellence, commerciality and innovation, with active use of legal tech and collaboration with specialist innovation teams.
Work Life Balance and Flexibility
One of the most attractive aspects of this role is the structure. It offers greater certainty and flexibility around hours compared to many traditional transactional real estate roles. The position only requires travel to Leeds around twice per month. There will be some initial in person time for onboarding and occasional visits to London to meet clients.
Candidate Profile
- Be a UK qualified solicitor with 5+ years’ PQE in commercial real estate
- Have strong technical grounding across core transactional property matters
- Be confident managing stakeholders at varying levels
- Take a thorough, consultative and commercially minded approach
- Be motivated by deeper client exposure and relationship development
- Be organised and calm under pressure
- Have a genuine interest in understanding clients’ businesses and commercial drivers
The Firm
This is a firm known for acting for major UK corporates and blue chip clients. It combines technical excellence with a strong emphasis on collaboration, development and innovation. The culture is collegiate and ambitious, with significant investment in training, mentoring and long term career progression.
If you are a 5+ PQE Real Estate lawyer in Leeds or open to remote working, and you are curious about a more client focused and strategically aligned role, I would be happy to have a confidential conversation.
