Healthcare Regulatory Solicitor

Our client is a Top 40 law firm ranked in the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners legal directories. It is currently looking to expand its Regulatory Healthcare team in Liverpool with the addition of an experienced solicitor of between 3-7yrs PQE.

The team offers a range of advice to individuals and organisations on health-based regulatory proceedings and matters. Clients range from private healthcare providers to NHS Trusts, covering court of protection, mental health applications and various other regulatory challenges like defending and advising on prosecutions. You will focus on managing a caseload of inquest files for clients alongside some broader work outside your core caseload.

Role Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of files
• Attend Inquest hearings at court, including travel
• Advocacy at pre-inquest review hearings and inquests
• Advise on a broad range of health and care-related matters

Ideal Candidate

• Qualified solicitor 3-7yr PQE
• Advocacy experience

Desirable but non-essential experience

• Healthcare experience
• Inquest experience
• Regulatory defence experience
• Court of protection experience
• Mental health experience
