Location: Crowborough, East Sussex
The Opportunity
A long-established and highly respected Sussex law firm is seeking an experienced Property Lawyer to join its practice at Senior Associate level, with genuine scope to progress to Partner.
This is a strategic hire for a commercially minded lawyer who wants to play a key role in shaping and expanding both the firm’s commercial and residential property offering. The role offers real influence, leadership responsibility and long-term career progression within a collaborative and friendly environment.
The Role
You will manage a diverse and high-quality caseload across both commercial and residential property, including:
- Acquisitions and disposals
- Commercial and residential leases
- Development matters
- Residential transactions
- Drafting and negotiating complex documentation
In addition to fee-earning, you will:
- Build and maintain strong client and referrer relationships
- Take an active role in business development and networking
- Support, mentor and supervise junior lawyers
- Contribute to departmental strategy and growth
- Ensure high standards of compliance and client care
About You
This role would suit a Senior Associate or Partner-level lawyer who can demonstrate:
- Strong technical expertise across commercial and residential property
- Proven experience managing a broad, complex caseload
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- A commercial, client-focused approach
- Confidence leading matters and advising at a senior level
- A proactive mindset toward growth, networking and business development
Previous experience supervising or mentoring junior team members is highly desirable.
