Trainee Company Secretary – London
Introduction:We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic Company Secretarial Trainee to join a growing UK-based corporate governance team. In this role, you will work with a portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality company secretarial and governance services while ensuring they remain compliant with their statutory obligations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to develop their skills, gain exposure to a broad range of corporate governance matters and build a long-term career in the profession.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a range of company secretarial services to clients in line with agreed targets and service levels
- Follow operational processes to ensure accurate time recording, billing, document management and effective resource planning
- Assist with compliance matters, including statutory filings, routine company changes and share capital changes
- Draft board minutes, shareholder resolutions and regulatory announcements
- Maintain electronic corporate records and statutory filings (including via Diligent Entities)
- Support with board and shareholder meetings, including collation of papers, drafting minutes and tracking actions
- Assist with annual report disclosures, AGM preparation and governance documentation
- Conduct benchmarking, research and governance best practice reviews
- Provide advice on Companies Act requirements, Listing Rules, Disclosure Rules and Market Abuse Regulation
- Respond to ad hoc requests such as producing extracts, certificates and handling notarisation/apostille requirements
- Ensure timely and accurate invoicing for completed work

- Willing to start (or already undertaking) the CGI qualification, or part/fully qualified
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
