A long-established and highly regarded legal firm with over 70 years of experience serving the Worcestershire community with a strong private client team is seeking to appoint an NQ+ private client solicitor! This role offers you the opportunity to handle a variety of work, including estate administration, drafting wills, tax planning, creating & managing trusts and preparing lasting powers of attorney.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administration of estates (taxable and non-taxable)
  • Drafting standard and complex wills, including those involving trusts (eg life interest and discretionary trusts)
  • Advising on inheritance tax (IHT) and capital gains tax (CGT) implications
  • Preparing and registering lasting powers of attorney (LPAs) and enduring powers of attorney (EPAs)
  • Making deputyship applications to the Court of Protection
  • Drafting deeds of variation
  • Establishing and administering trusts
  • Supporting team members and contributing to a collaborative department culture
  • Managing client relationships and business development
Role Requirements
  • NQ upwards with the ability to hit the ground running on a caseload of private client matters
  • A genuine passion for client care and delivering exceptional service
  • Organised, proactive, and self-motivated with a strong desire for career growth
  • Effective time management and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Competence in IT, including Microsoft Office and internet-based tools
