G1 Search has been exclusively retained to appoint a Director of Projects for an ambitious and growing business delivering complex construction and infrastructure projects across the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe. This is a significant leadership appointment, offering the opportunity to join a successful entrepreneurial organisation and play an influential role in shaping its future direction, operational capability and long-term growth. Working closely with the Founder and Managing Director as part of the senior leadership team, the Director of Projects will assume responsibility for the overall leadership, performance and development of the project delivery function. The successful candidate will play a central role in developing the people, structures, processes and commercial disciplines required to support an expanding portfolio of projects, while contributing to wider business strategy and organisational development. This appointment offers genuine autonomy and influence, combining responsibility for operational performance with the opportunity to help shape how the business grows, develops its leadership capability and delivers on its strategic ambitions. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership and oversight of project delivery across the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe Lead, develop and strengthen the Project Management team, building the capability required to support continued growth Establish and implement effective project governance, operational structures and performance management processes Oversee the commercial performance of projects, ensuring effective management of budgets, contracts, risk and profitability Work closely with the Founder and senior leadership team to shape business strategy, operational priorities and future growth plans Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, contractors, supply chain partners and other stakeholders Support the development of organisational capability, including resource planning, succession and leadership development Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, strengthen delivery capability and support expansion into new markets Required Experience Proven senior leadership experience within construction, building services, utilities or related infrastructure sectors Strong track record of overseeing complex construction projects across multiple contracts, teams or locations Demonstrated experience leading and developing Project Managers, operational teams and wider delivery functions Experience contributing to business strategy, organisational growth and operational development Strong commercial and financial management experience, including responsibility for project performance, budgets, contracts and risk Proven ability to establish effective operational structures, processes and governance to support business growth Experience working with senior leadership teams and contributing to strategic and operational decision making Experience within M
