The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 € per year.

Basically the job involves turning up on time, fixing the fleet, a bit of banter and wearing luminous orange clothing (provided of course). However, we will make work life fun and chuck in a bacon butty on a Saturday morning. A relocation package could also be available, if the bright lights of Cambridge tickle your fancy. You will be fully trained and looked after by Percy and his team and on your first day, have a full day’s induction with John. Collectively them pair have worked here for 51 years.

Location & Fleet

Based at our workshop in Longstanton, Cambridge – just 6 mins off the A14 at Bar Hill. The fleet – 95 HGV’s plus a range of plant machinery, small vans and light commercial vehicles.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proficiency in HGV repair, maintenance, and diagnostics
  • Experience in conducting regular vehicle inspections, including brakes, engine systems, and hydraulics
  • Expertise in handling tools and equipment necessary for disassembling and repairing HGV components
  • Working knowledge of compliance and safety standards for heavy goods vehicles
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to work independently
  • Relevant technical qualification or certification in vehicle mechanics or a related field
  • Previous experience in commercial vehicle repair; knowledge of bulk haulage equipment is an advantage
  • HGV license and driving experience are preferred but not mandatory
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate documentation
  • Class 1 Licence
  • Level 3 Diploma in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
