G W & E Wright Ltd is on the lookout for a Buyer to join our established and growing team based in Ashford, Kent. If you’re experienced in procurement within the electrical industry, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and love the challenge of managing multiple projects while delivering real commercial value – we want to hear from you!
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Processing day-to-day material orders using our preferred electrical suppliers
- Coordinating with Electricians, Supervisors, and Contracts Managers
- Managing 2nd fix kits and sequencing call-offs
- Negotiating pricing and ensuring best value from suppliers
- Recommending improvements and cost-saving measures
- Managing stock levels and conducting regular stock takes
- Overseeing invoice matching and returns
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Proven experience in electrical buying, including accessories, lighting, and distribution
- Strong numeracy and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office – especially Excel
- Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
- Able to stay calm under pressure and solve problems independently
