G S Stothers Smoke Ventilation Specialists is seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Engineer to join our dynamic team.

With over 40 years of expertise in smoke ventilation solutions, G S Stothers is an award-winning company known for its high standards, innovative approach, and commitment to excellence. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a motivated professional to help maintain and service our cutting-edge smoke ventilation systems. This role is based in both Northern and Southern Ireland. No overseas applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs of smoke ventilation systems.
  • Diagnose faults and provide effective solutions to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Carry out site visits, inspections, and compliance checks in accordance with industry standards.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to clients.
  • Complete service reports and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Work closely with the engineering and projects team to ensure seamless service delivery.
Essential Criteria:
  • Proven experience in a similar service engineering role, preferably within the smoke ventilation or HVAC industry.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
Desirable:
  • Experience working with smoke ventilation systems or life safety equipment.
  • Relevant industry qualifications (e.g. NVQ or City & Guilds certification).
