We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Facilities Technical Manager to join our growing team. This pivotal role involves supporting and managing teams of service engineers while acting as a key point of contact. This is a hybrid role involving both office-based responsibilities and on-site fieldwork to ensure effective project delivery and client support. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of reactive and planned maintenance services, uphold compliance standards, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day activities of service engineers across Northern and Southern Ireland.
- Provide technical support and guidance to engineers in the field.
- Act as the primary contact for client facilities and estates teams, addressing issues and providing solutions promptly.
- Ensure all work is delivered to the highest standard in compliance such as BS EN 12101 and relevant health & safety regulations.
- Support the scheduling and execution of planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and emergency call-out services along with the Facilities Management team.
- Conduct site audits, performance reviews, and ensure accurate service reporting and documentation.
- Assist with quoting remedial works, system upgrades, and compliance reviews.
- Collaborate with the Projects and Sales teams to support client retention and business development.
- Stay up to date with current legislation, industry standards, and best practices related to smoke control systems.
- Proven experience in a technical facilities management, engineering supervision, or building services role.
- Strong knowledge of smoke ventilation, fire safety systems, or mechanical/electrical services.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- Full UK/ROI driving licence and willingness to travel throughout Ireland.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to read technical drawings and understand system schematics.
- Qualification in Building Services, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (HNC/HND or equivalent).
- Experience managing mobile teams across multiple sites.
- Familiarity with CAFM systems and digital service reporting tools.
- Knowledge of BS EN 12101 and fire safety legislation.
