Electrical Engineer G.S Stothers is an award winning mechanical and electrical engineering company, based in Newtownards, that specialises in the Smoke Control industry. Our clients include the Ulster University, Paper Exchange, Olympic House, Victoria Square, CastleCourt Shopping Centre and Belfast City Quays, to name a few. Due to consistent business growth, our company are currently recruiting for the role of an Electrical Service Engineer to specialise in our smoke ventilation department. Position Overview and Responsibilities – Electrical Engineer The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following tasks on a day to day basis; Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on sites across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Carrying out scheduled reactive maintenance on sites across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Responding to emergency call-outs for existing clients across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Working on new installations across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. The Candidate We are looking for an enthusiastic, self motivated individual with an exceptional work ethic who can work both within a team and as an individual. We can provide extensive training, where required. Desired Criteria Strong customer service skills Trouble-shooting abilities Competent written and verbal reporting skills Basic understanding of pneumatic controls Experience in use with 24v DC, 230v and 415v AC systems Full, clean, driving licence holder (essential) CSR/ CSCS (Optional) IPAF (Optional) PASMA(Optional) Ability to work effectively as part of a team and as an individual. Ability to record work accurately, both on work sheets and computer based systems. Willingness to undertake further training. Willingness to travel Regards personal safety as priority.
