Due to consistent business growth, our company is currently recruiting for the role of an Electrical Service Engineer to specialise in our smoke ventilation department.
Position Overview and Responsibilities:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on sites across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
- Carrying out scheduled reactive maintenance on sites across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
- Responding to emergency call-outs for existing clients across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
- Working on new installations across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
The Candidate:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with an exceptional work ethic who can work both within a team and as an individual. We can provide extensive training, where required.
Essential Criteria:
- 18th Edition - BS7671 Wiring Regulations Qualification or equivalent.
- Inspection and Testing Qualification (City and Guilds 2391/2392 or equivalent).
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Equivalent.
- Proven experience working as an Electrical Service Engineer within the commercial and industrial environment.
- Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills.
- A good understanding of Health and Safety requirements.
- Full, clean driving licence holder (essential).
Desired Criteria:
- Experience working with fire safety ventilation systems (AOVs, smoke shafts, dampers, car park heat and fume exhaust systems and control systems).
- Familiar with EN12101 standards.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Trouble-shooting abilities.
- Competent written and verbal reporting skills.
- Basic understanding of pneumatic controls.
- Experience in use with 24v DC, 230v and 415v AC systems.
- CSR/CSCS (Optional).
- IPAF (Optional).
- PASMA (Optional).
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and as an individual.
- Ability to record work accurately, both on worksheets and computer-based systems.
- Willingness to travel.
- Regards personal safety as a priority.
Skills and Personal Qualities:
