As part of our engineering team, you will shape the platforms and tools that drive high-impact research - designing systems that scale, accelerate discovery and support innovation across the firm.

The role:

We're looking for an experienced Network Security Engineer who is passionate about building and maintaining high-performance, scalable and resilient network infrastructure. You will be part of a team that designs, automates and supports a global environment, which underpins cutting-edge research and technology operations, and drives the success of G-Research.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Designing and implementing security systems
  • Delivering high-quality designs and ensuring successful roll-out of strategic initiatives
  • Working closely with Security Architecture to drive security roadmaps
  • Working closely with wider core infrastructure teams to ensure alignment on infrastructure goals and configurations
  • Conducting regular network security audits and ensuring compliance with internal standards and best practices
  • Being the point of contact for escalations from the operations team
  • Implementing change requests

Who are we looking for?

You will thrive in this role if you bring a mix of deep technical expertise, problem-solving instinct and a passion for modern network security engineering. We're looking for someone who can think strategically, automate intelligently and deliver reliably at scale.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Security frameworks such as NIST, CIS or similar
  • Configuring and operating enterprise firewalls, for example with Fortinet and Palo Alto
  • Web proxy technologies and traffic inspection
  • F5 (LTM / ASM / APM or similar)
  • Deep packet inspection, core security engineering principles and modern attacker techniques
  • Networking fundamentals, for example TCP/IP, routing, switching and DNS
  • Automation and scripting
  • Privileged Access Management solutions
