G.R.E. Recruitment is delighted to partner with an exciting UK based PropTech Start-Up company who are scaling rapidly across the UK and internationally.
In this role, you will take ownership of a multi-tenant SaaS platform built with Laravel and Flutter, with a clear transition path into CTO as the company scales. This is a hands-on, high-autonomy role suited to someone who enjoys building core systems, shaping architecture, and influencing long-term technical strategy in an early-stage, high-growth environment.
You will be responsible for both backend and mobile development, while defining technical standards, scalability strategy, and product direction across the technical ecosystem.
In this role you will:
- Own and evolve a Laravel-based REST API
- Develop and maintain a Flutter mobile application (iOS & Android)
- Design and implement secure, multi-tenant architecture
- Establish clean coding standards and engineering best practices
- Improve performance, scalability, and reliability
- Support deployment, CI/CD, and infrastructure decisions
- Take features from concept through to production
- Work closely with product, sales, and partnerships teams to support rapid commercial growth
The ideal candidate for this role would be:
- Someone with an ownership mindset with founder-level accountability (Technical roadmap/architecture, hiring and mentoring engineers, driving high engineering standards and ensuring long-term platform scalability and security)
- A pragmatic decision maker (avoids over-engineering)
- Comfortable working independently with high responsibility
- Strong architectural judgement
- Experience of operating in early stage companies or small teams
- Interested in evolving into a CTO-level leadership role as the company scales
This role is fully remote but you must be UK based to be considered for this role.
