Porrelli have been producing Luxury Italian Style Ice Cream at our factory in Paisley since 1925. We produce a wide range of flavours in a variety of pack sizes to allow us to supply the catering and retail markets.

We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships and driving revenue growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to developing the market. You will play a key part in shaping the future direction of the business by expanding our client base and strengthening our presence across Scotland.

Key duties

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across Scotland.
  • Grow sales within existing customer accounts.
  • Build long-term relationships with customers and become their trusted partner.
  • Present new products, seasonal ranges and promotional opportunities.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements while protecting margins.
  • Work closely with production and customer service teams to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
  • Represent Porrelli at trade shows, exhibitions and industry events.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities.

Skills and experience

  • Proven experience in field sales or business development.
  • Experience within FMCG, foodservice, hospitality or wholesale (preferred but not essential).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • A full UK driving licence is essential.
