Payroll Officer (Time & Attendance/Payroll Specialist)

Location: Central London (office-based)

Contract: Full-time, temporary initial 5 months with possibility of extension

Rate: Β£325per day (umbrella)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a hands-on Payroll Officer (or strong HR/Finance professional with solid payroll experience) to join a prestigious 5-star hotel in Central London operating in a fast-paced, 24/7 hospitality environment.

About the Role

The hotel has recently implemented new Time & Attendance, Payroll and HR systems and is seeking reliable support during this period. You will work with UKG (Time & Attendance), ADP (fully outsourced payroll) and SAP (HR).

The role requires someone practical, detail-oriented and comfortable validating complex data in a high-volume environment with multiple work patterns. Strong analytical and reporting skills are essential. Hospitality experience is preferred, though fast-paced, high-volume experience from other sectors will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Validate Time & Attendance data from UKG before it feeds into ADP payroll
  • Check and process payroll codes, sickness, holidays, overtime and lieu time
  • Review and validate ADP payroll output for accuracy
  • Reconcile payroll figures against the P&L at month-end
  • Produce clear reports and support ad-hoc data analysis
  • Work closely with the wider HR and Finance teams during the system transition period

Requirements

  • Proven experience in payroll processing (ideally end-to-end from Time & Attendance through to payroll output and reconciliation)
  • Strong analytical, data and reporting skills with high attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with complex datasets and multiple systems
  • Experience with UKG, ADP and/or SAP is highly desirable (or similar T&A / outsourced payroll platforms)
  • Hands-on, tech-savvy and able to hit the ground running
  • Hospitality experience preferred; alternatively, experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Must be available immediately

Personal Attributes

  • Practical, reliable and proactive
  • Calm under pressure and comfortable in a busy operational environment
  • Strong communicator who can work independently and as part of a small team
  • Not seeking a senior management role - this is a hands-on operational position
