An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Global Talent Acquisition Business Partner to join the Group GBS Talent Acquisition function on an initial 12-month contract with a clear pathway to permanency for the right individual.
About the Role
As the Talent Acquisition Business Partner, you will act as the strategic link between the central TA function and the Engineering business. You will partner closely with senior leadership, Divisional People Directors, and People Partners to align hiring strategies with workforce plans, business priorities, and long‑term talent needs. This is a high‑impact, consultative role focused on improving talent acquisition performance through robust workforce planning, data‑driven insights, and strong stakeholder partnerships. You will work as part of a global network of four Regional TA Business Partners while integrating into the Engineering People Services team.
Key Responsibilities
- Stakeholder Partnership & Strategy: Act as the primary TA partner for the Engineering businesses, building strong relationships with leadership and People Partners. Translate workforce plans and business priorities into actionable, effective hiring strategies. Advise and challenge stakeholders on market trends, talent availability, sourcing approaches, and recruitment best practices. Represent Talent Acquisition in divisional people forums, workforce planning sessions, and strategic reviews.
- Collaboration & Delivery: Partner with the Regional TA Lead, RPO provider, and CoE teams to deliver consistent processes, strong candidate experience, and employer brand impact. Drive data insights and performance tracking to continuously improve hiring outcomes. Support the design and execution of targeted recruitment campaigns and initiatives. Work across Emerging Talent, Contingent, and Executive recruitment teams to ensure a joined‑up approach. Contribute to longer‑term workforce planning and the delivery of the right talent solutions.
- Governance & Reporting: Maintain visibility of divisional hiring activity, ensuring compliance with policy and governance. Deliver regular performance reporting, insights, and forecasts to the Divisional People Director and TA leadership. Share divisional intelligence and best practices across the global TA network.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Talent Acquisition Business Partner or Senior Recruiter in a complex, matrixed organisation (ideally within engineering, manufacturing, or technology sectors).
- Strong background in workforce planning, data analysis, and using insights to drive TA strategy and performance.
- Demonstrated success in senior stakeholder management and influencing at leadership level.
- Deep understanding of recruitment best practices, market trends, and talent markets in engineering disciplines.
- Excellent communication, consultative, and problem‑solving skills.
- Comfortable operating across multiple geographies, cultures, and business units.
- Engineering sector knowledge and understanding of specialist skill markets is highly advantageous.
