We are supporting a well-established housing association in Bristol in their search for a Tree Surgeon Team Leader to oversee arboriculture operations across their residential portfolio. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Tree Surgeon ready to step up, or an existing Team Leader looking for a more stable, community-focused environment. You’ll lead a small team, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to a consistently high standard, while maintaining excellent service for residents.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, support, and motivate a team of Tree Surgeons on-site
  • Plan and oversee daily arboriculture operations across multiple locations
  • Carry out tree works including pruning, felling, and maintenance when required
  • Ensure all equipment, vehicles, and PPE are safe and compliant
  • Conduct quality checks and site inspections
  • Assess tree health and manage risk across sites
  • Manage workload, performance, and development of team members
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations
  • Act as the main point of contact for residents and internal teams
  • Support continuous improvement and best practice sharing

Requirements

  • Strong experience in arboriculture / tree surgery
  • Previous experience leading or supervising a team
  • Confident using arboriculture machinery and working at height
  • Solid understanding of tree health, risk assessment, and site safety
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Ability to manage workloads and deliver against targets
