We are looking for an experienced Part-Time Insurance Accountant (2 days a week) to join a Lloyd’s of London insurer, focusing on the management accounts function. This is a great opportunity for a finance professional with London Market insurance experience seeking a flexible part-time role within a highly respected insurer.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the general ledger
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L and balance sheet reconciliations
- Manage month-end close activities (accruals, prepayments, journals)
- Perform expense variance analysis and resolve reconciliation issues
- Support cash flow and treasury management
- Prepare intercompany and recurring journals
- Submit VAT and P11D returns
- Run monthly payroll and process expenses
- Support budgeting, forecasting, audits, and tax pack preparation
- Ad-hoc management reporting and financial analysis
- Continual development of reporting solutions.
Requirements
- Accounting experience, ideally within the Lloyd’s/London Market
- Strong management accounts experience
- Good understanding of month-end and financial reporting processes
- Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a part-time capacity
