G MASS Consulting are seeking a dedicated professional to join one of our London Market Insurance clients as a consultant. You will be permanently joining the client’s central operations function. This role sits at the heart of underwriting support, ensuring accurate data, smooth processes, strong controls and high-quality service across the business.
You will work closely with Underwriting Assistants, Underwriters, Operations, Change and an established offshore service provider to keep core underwriting operations running efficiently and consistently.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor, resolve and escalate underwriting queries as required.
- Manage and clear data quality exceptions across allocated classes.
- Ensure accuracy of information within the policy administration system.
- Identify opportunities to streamline operational processes and enhance use of the offshore provider.
- Support continuous improvement across underwriting and operational workflows.
- Deliver work in line with established SOPs and maintain up-to-date SOPs and user guides.
- Produce and communicate reporting for internal stakeholders; support creation of new MI with the Senior Delivery Analyst.
- Support user acceptance testing for IT and change initiatives.
- Maintain an understanding of underwriting controls and operational procedures.
- Complete compliance checks for new and renewal business.
- Partner with the outsource provider to ensure SLA and TAT adherence, acting as the onshore point of contact for standards and guidance.
- No prior experience required.
- Passionate about joining an Operations function within a London Market Insurance firm.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to resolving data issues.
- Comfortable working with SOPs, controls and process-driven environments.
- Good communication skills and the ability to build relationships across Underwriting and Operations.
- Confident managing offshore service providers (advantageous but not essential).
