G MASS are seeking a Valuations professional to join the Middle Office team at one of the world's leading hedge funds, taking ownership of pricing and NAV oversight across both systematic and discretionary trading strategies. This is an initial contract, offering genuine exposure to a diverse, multi-asset book spanning listed derivatives through to less liquid instruments. You'll be embedded within a highly regarded Operations function, working alongside a well-established, technically strong team with mature valuation infrastructure already in place, giving you the platform to add real value from day one rather than build processes from scratch.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of day-to-day pricing and valuation oversight across a broad range of funds and instrument types, playing a direct role in the accuracy and integrity of NAV.
  • Investigate and resolve pricing discrepancies and valuation exceptions, applying independent judgement to protect data quality and investor outcomes.
  • Validate third-party pricing and index data feeding into internal systems, acting as a key control point in the valuation process.
  • Build strong working relationships across front office, fund administrators, and internal teams, positioning yourself as a trusted point of contact on valuation matters.
  • Contribute to quarterly and month-end valuation cycles, preparing audit-ready materials that support governance and investor confidence.
  • Perform four-eye review of valuation outputs, helping uphold the rigour and accuracy the team is known for.

Requirements

  • 5 years'+ experience in fund valuations, pricing, or middle office accounting.
  • CFA preferred; ACA or equivalent also considered.
  • Experience across both listed/cleared and less liquid or OTC instruments.
  • Strong analytical judgement and stakeholder management skills.
  • Short notice or immediately available preferred, given contract length.

Benefits

  • Initial contract, with a view to extension.
  • Salary / day-rate: to be discussed.
