We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Business Analyst to support delivery of a new underwriting workbench platform. The successful candidate will translate business and technical needs into solution-ready BA artefacts that enable design, build, integration and test teams to deliver against a clear, well-defined set of requirements.
Experience supporting the testing lifecycle is especially important for this role, including input to test planning, test case/scenario definition, and support through test execution and defect triage.
Key Focus Areas:
- APIs and system-to-system interactions
- Data mapping, data definitions and mapping rules
- Integration requirements across underwriting and policy systems
- Policy lifecycle data movement and downstream data flows
Key Deliverables:
- Process models covering current and target-state underwriting workflows
- Functional requirements specifications that are clear, testable and traceable
- Data flow diagrams and system handoff definitions
- Controls documentation and policy-lifecycle data movement mapping
- User stories, acceptance criteria and other DevOps backlog updates
- Input into, and maintenance of, the technical delivery plan
Requirements:
- Proven track record as a technical/solution-focused Senior Business Analyst on underwriting or policy workbench implementation programmes.
- Experience of workbench implementations with a data/system feed into a policy administration platform is essential.
- Strong grounding in APIs, system interactions, and data mapping/definition work within an insurance or London Market context.
- Comfortable operating across both business and technical stakeholder groups, and able to work directly with architects, developers and test teams.
