G MASS Consulting are seeking a dedicated professional to join one of our London Market Insurance clients as a consultant. You'll be joining the client's Underwriting General Ledgers Team on an initial short-term contract until the end of February. This role has a strong focus on general ledger integrity, Workday processing, and month-end close support. This role will play a key part in stabilisation activities following system migration, clearing cutover backlogs, and ensuring robust accounting controls are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile migrated general ledger data to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Process cutover and backlog transactions within Workday
- Support month-end close activities, including bank and control account reconciliations
- Perform daily accounting activities, including manual Workday journals for bank and control accounts
- Support the resolution of reconciliation breaks and accounting queries
- Ensure adherence to accounting controls and reconciliation standards
- Support the Senior Manager – Insurance Accounting & Reporting with ad-hoc tasks
Qualifications
- Experience in an Accounting, Finance Operations, or Insurance Finance role
- Strong hands‐on experience with general ledger accounting and reconciliations
- Exposure to month‐end close processes, including bank and control accounts
Salary: to be discussed, dependent on experience
Length: Contract until end of February, with possibility of extension
