Reinsurance Technician
We are looking for a Reinsurance Technician to join us on a permanent basis. You will be supporting our insurance clients based in the city of London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and submitting inwards transactions, calculating what is due by applying treaty terms (retention, cession & commission).
- Process bordereaux and statements of account; maintain accurate records.
- Input and track ceded premiums, reinstatement premiums, and recoveries.
- Support team in reserving processes, loss recoveries, and reconciliation with finance.
- Communicate with underwriters, brokers, and reinsurers to clarify coverage and documentation.
- Monitor treaty expiry, commission schedules, and compliance with SLAs.
Skills & Experience:
- 3 years in reinsurance or insurance claims/accounting support.
- Familiarity with reinsurance treaties (quota share, excess-of-loss).
- Strong numeracy, attention to detail, and analytical ability.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
