G MASS is looking to deploy an experienced Consumer Duty / Conduct Risk consultant into a third-party managing agent client.

This is not a pure execution role.

The client is looking for someone who can bring sound judgment, strong industry knowledge, and practical experience in conduct and product governance to help shape and deliver solutions at the product design stage.

The consultant will be deployed by G MASS to work directly with the managing agent client, acting as an extension of G MASS in front of that client rather than as a back-office reviewer.

The focus is pragmatic, risk-based product governance review, not legal sign-off, and the successful candidate will be comfortable making practical judgment calls rather than mechanically applying a checklist.

Core Responsibilities

• Review and assess product design documentation, including

  • Product Information Documents (PIDs)
  • Schedules
  • Policy wording
  • Support client decisions on Consumer Duty / conduct requirements during the product design stage.
  • Apply a defined framework to determine light, medium, or heavy-touch review requirements by jurisdiction and product type.
  • Ensure there is sufficient evidence and rationale to support the level of review applied - including for low-touch assessments - so the managing agent client can demonstrate this to their own stakeholders and regulators.

• Identify and clearly distinguish between

  • Products or documents that are acceptable, though not perfect
  • Products or documents that are unacceptable for a given jurisdiction
  • Research and navigate jurisdiction-specific requirements as needed, across multi-territory, multi-class insurance products.
  • Help work through the managing agent client's existing backlog while helping to shape a more sustainable, ongoing review process.
