Company Description

At G Leonard, our purpose is to make industry safer, smarter, and more sustainable.

We know that people are too valuable to be put in harm’s way. That’s why we are committed to reducing risk by removing human exposure from hazardous environments and replacing it with advanced robotic solutions. By doing so, we not only protect lives — we also save time, helping industries carry out complex maintenance work faster, more consistently, and with less downtime.

This combination of safety and efficiency is at the heart of everything we do. By protecting people and valuing their time, we enable industries to operate with confidence, extend the life of critical infrastructure, and embrace a more sustainable future.

Through cutting‑edge robotic technology and deep industry expertise, we deliver precision cleaning, refractory removal, and refurbishment services across the cement, aluminium, and energy industries. Our end‑to‑end project delivery — from inspection and planning to safe execution and reporting — ensures smarter, safer, and more efficient outcomes.

Role Description

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Project Co‑ordinator to play a pivotal role in delivering our purpose. This full‑time, hybrid role is based in Cookstown, with flexibility for some work from home.

As the conduit between our internal team, subcontractors, trusted partners, and valued customers, you will ensure that projects are seamlessly planned, resourced, and executed. You’ll oversee daily project operations, coordinate between teams and clients, manage timelines, prepare reports, and ensure that all deliverables are met on time and within budget.

This role is primarily office‑based, with some in‑field work, focused on administration, scheduling, communication, and compliance — but its impact is global: your work will keep people out of harm’s way while helping industries operate more efficiently.

You will also serve as a key point of contact for customers, ensuring clear, professional, and timely communication throughout each project lifecycle. If you thrive on organisation, communication, and making things run smoothly, this is your opportunity to contribute to a safer and smarter future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Communication & Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for customers during project planning and execution, ensuring clear, consistent, and professional communication.
  • Project Coordination: Liaise between customers, subcontractors, and internal teams to align expectations, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Pricing & Proposals: Prepare and manage project pricing.
  • Resource Management: Book and coordinate resources to align with project needs.
  • Project Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Travel & Logistics: Arrange personnel travel, accommodation, and equipment logistics worldwide, including managing work permits and visa entry requirements.
  • Financial Control: Secure purchase orders (POs) prior to work commencing.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with country‑specific and customer site H&S requirements.
  • Training & Compliance:
  • Maintain the training matrix and staff records.
  • Arrange training to ensure certifications remain current.
  • Manage company compliance platforms to meet customer and regulatory requirements.

About You

  • 3 years’ demonstrable project management experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office systems (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive).
  • Excellent administrative skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Experience working for a global organisation and across time zones.
  • Positive, proactive, and collaborative approach — able to thrive in a small, fast‑moving team.
  • Additional language skills: Spanish, French, German, or Portuguese.
  • Experience in the Cement, Refractory, or Biomass industries.
  • Experience of Xero accounting system.

What We Offer

  • A permanent, full‑time role in an innovative, purpose‑driven company.
  • The chance to be at the centre of projects that protect people and transform industries.
  • A collaborative and supportive team where your contribution makes a real difference.
  • Opportunities to work with cutting‑edge technology and global clients.
  • Hybrid working, with flexibility to balance office and home‑based work.
  • Support for ongoing training and personal development.
  • Exposure to international projects and career growth opportunities.
