The Role
We are seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Global Marketing Manager to lead the development of G Leonard’s demand generation from the ground up. This hybrid, global role based in Cookstown offers an exciting opportunity to shape how G Leonard presents itself to the world. You’ll be responsible not just for building our brand, but for actively identifying new opportunities, generating leads, and driving business growth across international markets. As the company’s first dedicated marketing professional, you’ll combine strategic vision with hands‑on execution — defining our marketing strategy, strengthening our presence across digital and traditional channels, and proactively bringing G Leonard’s story and technology to new customers and industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute G Leonard’s global marketing and business development strategy aligned with company growth goals.
- Identify, target, and pursue new business opportunities across key industries (cement, aluminium, energy, and beyond).
- Build relationships with potential clients, generate qualified leads, and support the sales cycle from first contact to conversion.
- Brand & Positioning: Strengthen and evolve G Leonard’s brand identity, ensuring consistent, professional, and impactful representation across all touchpoints.
- Digital Marketing: Manage and grow our online presence through the website, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms. Develop and execute campaigns that increase visibility and generate inbound enquiries.
- Content & Communications: Create compelling content — including case studies, presentations, videos, and proposals — that tell our story and communicate value to target audiences.
- Market Development: Research and map potential markets, customer segments, and competitors to identify growth opportunities.
- Events & Networking: Represent G Leonard at trade shows, conferences, and industry events, promoting our capabilities and developing commercial leads.
- Performance & Reporting: Establish marketing KPIs, measure performance, and report results to the leadership team, recommending investments to maximise return.
- Budget & Investment: Propose and manage marketing budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources to support growth and brand visibility.
About You
- 7+ years’ experience in marketing, business development, or commercial roles within industrial, engineering, or technology‑based environments.
- Strong commercial mindset with proven experience in lead generation, sales support, and market growth.
- Strategic thinker who can also execute — comfortable being both creative and hands‑on.
- Excellent communication, presentation, storytelling, and brand‑building skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and customers.
- Proficient in digital marketing tools and analytics (CMS, PPC, analytics, social media, SEO, CRM, email marketing, campaign tracking).
- Proven experience managing PR and communications activities, including building relationships with industry media, developing press materials, and securing coverage across key outlets.
- Creative, highly motivated, proactive, and confident in identifying and pursuing new opportunities.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills and comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced, global environment.
- Experience in robotics, manufacturing, or industrial services sectors.
- Experience working across international markets and time zones.
- Experience in content creation tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, video and photography production and editing, model rendering).
- Experience working with agencies or freelancers to scale marketing capacity.
- Additional languages (Spanish, French, German, or Portuguese).
