We are looking for an organised Events Coordinator to join our client's growing marketing team in Milton Keynes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at entry level who is looking to build a career in events, marketing, or project coordination. The role is for maternity leave cover and will be for a minimum of 6 months. The candidate will be required to work 1 day per week from the office in Central Milton Keynes.
As the Events Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the planning and delivery of a busy calendar of commercial events, including international trade shows, technical conferences, and internal corporate events. You’ll be working closely with a friendly and experienced team, gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of event logistics.
As an Events Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the organisation and coordination of more than 30 international trade shows each year
- Assisting with event logistics including registrations, materials, staffing, shipping, and supplier communication
- Liaising with event organisers and external partners
- Helping to prepare promotional materials and communications for events
- Coordinating travel, accommodation, and catering arrangements for attendees
- Keeping inventory of event equipment and merchandise
- Helping colleagues promote events through websites and social media
- Assisting with performance tracking to evaluate event success
- Occasionally travelling to events (2–3 times per year) to help with setup and onsite coordination.
This Events Coordinator position is ideal for someone starting out in their career. Previous experience in events is helpful but not essential. We are more interested in your attitude, organisation skills, and ability to communicate effectively.
