GK Healthcare is recruiting experienced Tracheostomy Nurses for nursing opportunities in Sunderland, UK.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, person-centred care to patients with tracheostomies.
- Provide safe and effective tracheostomy care and management.
- Monitor patients' respiratory condition and identify changes promptly.
- Carry out suctioning and other tracheostomy-related clinical procedures within your competence.
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and care documentation.
- Work collaboratively with doctors, healthcare professionals, families, and support staff.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and elevate concerns when required.
- Maintain high standards of infection prevention, patient safety, and clinical practice.
Requirements
- Valid NMC Registration
- Right to work in the UK
- Minimum 6 months' nursing experience
- Recent experience in tracheostomy care
- Mandatory Health Training Certificate
- Valid Enhanced DBS
- Strong communication and clinical skills
- Ability to work confidently with patients requiring complex care
