We’re looking for an enthusiastic Service Engineer to join our dynamic team.

Working area of support: Cambridgeshire / South Lincolnshire

Operational base: Chatteris

The Role: To diagnose, repair, prepare, service, and maintain a range of agricultural machinery. Record and justify work carried out using mobile phone app. Working predominately on site and at times in depot. Undertake mandatory manufacturer’s training courses on-line in depot and at manufacturers venues. Work to main dealer working principles following correct procedures to achieve quality and efficiency. To deliver industry leading support to our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • To diagnose, repair, prepare, service, and maintain a range of agricultural machinery, with ability to diagnose technical transmissions/engines/hydraulic and electrical faults.
  • Use IT system to diagnose faults where applicable and file reports to manufacturers.
  • Complete digital job cards with high level of detail and accuracy in a timely manner.
  • Obtain necessary parts for repairs from parts department.

Essential requirements:

  • Valid full driver’s licence.
  • Able to work alone using your own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Can do attitude to resolve issues.
  • Follow the company’s health and safety policy and procedures at all times.
  • Confident communication skills to internal and external contacts.
  • Carry out daily maintenance to company vehicle.
  • Maintain acceptable levels of standards and discipline.
  • A degree of flexibility required to working hours as there is a requirement to respond to out-of-hours call outs and work overtime.

Ideal Experience:

  • Engineer: 2 years (preferred)
  • NVQ or related qualifications (preferred)

Benefits:

  • Basic working hours: 39 hours per week Monday to Friday (plus overtime to meet seasonal demands and out of hours support).
  • Holiday entitlement: 22 days increasing to 26 days on length of service plus Bank Holidays.
