About the role
G & H Care is a CQC-registered home care provider. We're looking for kind, reliable carers to support older people, aged 65 and over, to live safely, comfortably and independently in their own homes. You'll visit clients in the Southport area, giving person-centred care that makes a real difference to their day.
What you'll be doing Personal care, including washing, dressing, bathing and continence care, with dignity and respect.
Preparing meals and drinks, and supporting with eating and hydration.
Supporting with medication, as set out in each person's care plan.
Helping with mobility and transfers, using equipment safely.
Light housekeeping to keep clients' homes clean and safe.
Companionship and a friendly face, helping reduce loneliness.
Noticing and reporting changes in health or wellbeing.
Recording each visit accurately on our care app.
What you'll need
A full UK driving licence and access to your own car, with business use insurance.
Care experience is preferred, ideally at least 6 months. No experience? No problem. If you're caring, reliable and keen to learn, we'll give you full training.
The right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, we cannot offer sponsorship (Certificate of Sponsorship).
A caring, patient and respectful approach.
Good communication skills.
An enhanced DBS check, or willingness to get one.
What we offer
£12.75 per hour.
Mileage paid at 0.50 per mile between visits.
Free training, including the Care Certificate, moving and handling, medication, safeguarding, first aid and dementia awareness.
Full-time or part-time hours to suit you.
Local rounds in PR8 and PR9, so less time travelling.
Support from our office team and a 24-hour on-call manager.
