The Registered Nurse will provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met. The role includes administering medication, updating care plans, supervising care staff, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Familiarity with
electronic Medication Administration Record (eMAR) systems
is essential to ensure accurate and safe medication management. Key Responsibilities
Resident Care Deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care to all residents.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans.
Administer and document medications safely using
eMAR systems .
Provide clinical interventions including wound care, catheter care, and end-of-life support.
Monitor residents health, record vital signs, and escalate concerns when necessary.
Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with NMC Code of Conduct, CQC regulations, and safeguarding standards.
Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date clinical records.
Adhere to infection control and health & safety procedures.
Report incidents, accidents, and safeguarding concerns promptly.
Teamwork & Leadership Supervise, support, and mentor care assistants and junior staff.
Promote teamwork and ensure high standards of resident care are maintained.
Participate in training, audits, and staff development.
Liaise with families, GPs, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
Resident Wellbeing Safeguard residents dignity, rights, and independence at all times.
Support residents with dementia, learning disabilities, and complex needs.
Encourage social interaction and engagement in activities.
Skills & Qualifications
Registered Nurse with valid NMC PIN (Adult, Mental Health, or Learning Disability).
Proven experience in a care home or healthcare setting.
Strong clinical knowledge and current nursing practice.
Experience using eMAR systems for medication management.
Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
Compassionate, patient, and committed to person-centred care.

High attention to detail and accuracy.
Able to work under pressure and adapt to residents changing needs.
